Canes take the Cup!!!
Stanley is in the HOUSE...and will be hanging out in North Carolina for the next oh...year. The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 in game 7 on Monday night. Several festivities are planned to celebrate in Raleigh, including a parade around the RBC center tonight with live music and presentations (and a chance to meet the players, hellooo Cam Ward), plus a parade Wednesday afternoon starting at St. Mary's school and heading downtown on Hillsborough Street. You should really try to make it out. They're even passing out foam hockey pucks. I also hear (from a very reliable source in Seattle) that the Canes players will finally shave their superstitious facial growth, and collectively place it in a 'pillow' to auction off for charity. scratchy. Mike Commodore's mop will also be donated, and he is allowing the highest bidders the opportunity to actually CUT his hair. So vote now. Well that's about all the caniac-ness you'll be getting from me...well until the season starts back up again (in about 46 days). Season tickets anyone??
